IndiePet is an association created by and for independent pet retailers and the manufacturers, distributors, and service providers who work with and support this uniquely valuable pet channel.
Our members represent a diverse community of independent pet retailers, manufacturers, distributors and service providers, all working together to ensure a strong, sustainable, and growing place for indies at the heart of the pet industry.
Collectively and collaboratively, we raise awareness of the importance of neighborhood independent pet businesses, their contribution to their communities, their dedicated staff, and their focus on the health and wellbeing of pets.
Working with the Independent Pet Industry since 2017
The independent pet channel consists of approximately 8,000 stores, yet they make up less than 10% of the pet retailer market overall. Indies are continuing to be challenged by everything from natural disasters to the current economic situation, to the steadily growing e-commerce channel. Never has there been a better time to join together for a greater “voice” to effect change in the pet industry.
